Welcome to Poltesco's blog.
For those of you who like to know whats been happening with the horses and ponies at the yard!
Hello everybody
We've had a very busy year! lovely weather through the summer months with only August having a few days of rain, but that did not seem to worry too many customers.
The Horses and ponies are all well. Bess has been retired and has been re homed as a companion for another horse. I hear shes happy and enjoying her retirement.
Jack is doing well he has settled in and is now learning lots of new things he very much enjoys jumping and has done a days practice at a local cross country course. Hes now going to the beach and is getting braver each trip with the sea!
We held lots of events over the summer months from gymkhanas to jumping competitions and own a pony days to treasure hunts! Next year we will be doing lots of these things again so nobody will be disappointed!
Tali is now back in work after a few months rest bite to repair his hooves after many years of having laminitis, typical fat pony!
We have two new ponies for the new year, both shetlands Bess is black and slighty bigger than Kenza who is grey and very cheeky. Both ponies have been outgrown by there previous owners and were not being ridden so their owners offered them to us to work and give a happy life to.
At Christmas we held two pub rides combining the beach and then heading over to Cadgewith Cove pub for a drink, both rides were sucessful and we will look forward to doing them again next Christmas.
The ever popular Roly will be coming back sooner this year as she is so loved i asked her owner if we could have for 8 months of the year rather than her usual 6 months,so everyone can look forward to giving her a warm welcome back in February.
Eden is now starting to be broken in,shes being mouthed and is starting to be backed aswell. Dylan is great hes a lovely sweet pony who loves attention and a good groom when he comes in.
We wish everybody a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing customers old and new very soon!
